Performance Lecture
The presentation focuses on two related projects: Taparaco Myth (2009), a two-year autoethnographic performance in Peru that retraced coolie geography and explored rural Latin Asian/Americas’ fluid diasporic role in the western hemisphere, and Chasing Blue Marlin, which traverses the transpacific space that prehistorically links Asia to the Americas through the Austronesians that pioneered the Pacific over six millennia, as well as underwater biotic connections while thinking through colonial residues.
