An online archive of contemporary artists in their studios. Curated by Sergio Gomez

"Each artwork represents stages of my life where I have questioned my own religion, death and spirituality. Most of the works are acrylic, spray and ink, I really like to mix techniques like pointillism, Impressionism and hyperrealism. The currents that have influenced my career is surrealism and pop art;  Andy Warhol, Chuck Close, Alex Gray, Salvador Dalí and René Magritte. Since I did my dissertation on Divine Icons, the portrait and its multiple variants called me. Each series has a why, a what and a how, that define moments of my personal life. For example the series of Cosmogonia arose because my brother Patrick passed away, I entered into a catharsis that made me question what happened and where we go after death, on that path of pain and mourning I came to the conclusion that we are all stardust and in the end we merge with the universe."
