Hands up, who needs a Bellini Addictees? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€

We are back in lockdown-ish here in Singapore, and we're feeling sorry for ourselves. The world's oldest profession or "Karaoke" has brought the Garden City to its knees (😬), and we're not happy Jan.

Anyhoo, all is not lost. Turning our frowns upside down is the Frick's "Cocktails with a Curator" and this week's Weekend Art Fix.

Firstly, what the Frick? We just found out about this. You can enjoy all sixty-five episodes of the Frick's critically acclaimed, award-winning 2020–21 series "Cocktails with a Curator". A Frick curator offers insights on a work of art in the collection with a complimentary cocktail in each episode. Chin chin! Audiences under 21 are encouraged to join with a non-alcoholic drink (Frick-en hilarious!).

This week's Weekend Art Fix is divinely stunning! Introducing The Pursuit, the latest series by the wonderful Tunku Khalsom πŸ™Œ

"This body of work is very much the pursuit of a life full of adventure, passion, excitement, laughter, unexpectedness. It is the ability to go with the flow and not follow the social norms imposed upon us from a young age: school, work, marriage, children.

"My work is about the avoidance of the mundane. It's about doing things exactly the way that you want to and being unapologetic about it. It's ok to change your mind, to change your career, to have children first, or not at all. It's about experiencing different countries and cultures. It's about trying new things, submerging yourself in something that sets your soul on fire. These desires and experiences ultimately inspire me.

"I paint the life that I want for myself β€” those moments of pure bliss that stay with you for a lifetime.

"My work shows those moments, side by side with moments of breaking free." - Tunku Khalsom

Enjoy The Pursuit.

Until the next one; karaoke, making you a rockstar if only for 3-5 minutes at a time.
