Captured Beauty: Woman of Azure

Blue was her favorite, love her passion,

but not all is without cost.

She has an ability to create love in

stages from ages past to present to

future ages.

He would prove worthy of his

manhood while seemingly enjoying

her attention, giving love, giving gifts,

giving his very soul in stages;

She gave him all he wanted in her

tender womanly ways; telling him

of the excitement and joys he gave

her as she moved about her day.

Neither knew of the dangers of love.

Snares, trips, and the false vanities

that seem far away and high above.

Truth could not supplant itself during

the madness of their passion; as

body heat brought forth a delirium

that is now every where in fashion.

Her warm soft skin and tender eyes

with their up thrusting lashes, evoked

a charm she would do no harm; one

embrace and he was swept within a

maelstrom of continuous charm.

She felt right within his embrace as

her body yielded gently in the most

intimate ways; supplanted logic - too

late, as he tumbled head first in loves

dance of false plays.

He hid her this beauty as his friends

oft asked about the beauty in blue,

he might mumble in a hurry or he must

get about, while his thinking of this

secret joy was reason to honestly

shout.

But cursed angst is waiting in the

wings, soon his life suffered as blue

beauty desired more and more new

things.

At first taken calmly, the gifts got

bigger, more expensive as her desire

for them grew, his answer was to

seek out better things as work or as

life demands clashed with the beauty

In blue.

Her hair was textured with waves

and folds, her hair some days was

matted short scruffy and dark as

night, others pensively strewn about

and bright as the sun shining with all

of its might.

Lips soft as the mist, drove him

towards false bliss.

Ever present was the blue, a cool

color on her nails, as mascara

cooly tinted and her warm body

seemed to clash, one look, a warm

smile and all willpower was smashed.

Blue shoes adorned her feet so

lovely and new, like a trip to a

fantasy land - blue ice and blue

wine flowed across his tongue

and past his heart as he must

find a way to fetch her away in

his current plan.

In the hotel where our three lives

converged was a large affair made

up of stories overlooking the Austin

Opera, with its dual curving ramps

that is adjacent to Lady Bird Lake

and is situated in Auditorium Park.

Green, beautiful, the park draws

visitors and community residents

who play, walk and bicycle

and now Sedgeway.

She dashed into my view, I was

leaving my room and saw the flash of

blue; riveting my attention for she

was such a beauty too.

Dashed by me, her eyes wide in terror

she threw herself against the door of

the room next to mine. The door

yielded, she crashed through

screaming please leave me be.

I felt the footfalls approaching as I

pressed my body against the

elevator shaft hoping death was not

ravenous today.

Black garb seeking his azure victim,

his focus on her blue flats as they

sought then found momentary safety

where with her parents she chose to stay.

Intent on his victim, he did not notice

me. He was drawing a handgun when

I frightened out of mind drew close,

whispered there no need, she is but a

child. He did not turn, as death had

nothing to say.

His free hand began to draw his blade, I not

thinking pulled him back and spinning fell

backwards towards the balcony.

He not speaking tumbled over the edge.

Screams below marked his arrival as

the marble floor 100 feet below,

saved two lives that day.

We sit upon my porch, the dusk of

the southwestern city beautiful.

I massage her feet, blue nails for

the moment share my roof.

Youthful demands abated for now

as our hearts enjoy the new lives

we are granted, while our minds

begin the love dance whose seeds

were long ago planted.

I kiss her feet, caress her legs

and count myself blessed to have

rescued, comforted, then won the

heart of this former captive, this

Woman of Azure.
