North Carolina-based painter Brett Baker is represented by Elizabeth Harris Gallery in New York where he has had solo exhibitions in 2013 and 2015. Honors and awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2002. In addition to being an artist, Baker is the editor of Painters' Table (painters-table.com), an online painting magazine. He writes frequently about art with recent subjects including Pat Passlof, Chaim Soutine, George Braque and Nicolas De Staël.
All lectures at the New York Studio School are free an open to the public. Seating may be limited.
