Albert Oehlen

I had the pleasure of photographing Albert Oehlen a few years ago in New York while he was preparing his show at the Luhring Augustine gallery, as well as working on a new book to be pubished by Taschen.

When I discovered he was a professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf we had a wonderful chat - my father had studied at the school in the 1960’s when Joseph Beuys was a professor there.

Oehlen is brilliant artist as well as a joy to be around, I was truly inspired after spending the few hours I had with him.
