Suzanne Treister’s work has also been selected for the 10th Shanghai Biennale, Social Factory, curated by Anselm Franke. The chosen theme is society, and the ways it can be depicted and epitomized in visual art. The biennale explores questions such as how culture is manipulated by this current social media crazed society, and the repercussions of the mass-use of technology. The Shanghai Biennale opened on November 22 2014, and it will close on March 31 2015.
