Introducing SOLO Salon and VERGE Video
Art Toronto is excited to present two new programmes to the 2015 fair.
SOLO Salon, a series of artist conversations, takes place in the SOLO section, featuring twelve booths, each presenting the work of a single artist.
VERGE Video complements the new VERGE section of galleries dedicated to the work of emerging artists with a curated program of contemporary moving art.
Join a selection of Art Toronto’s SOLO artists as they discuss their work through the lens of shared themes. Each talk will feature two or more artists and analyze works exhibited within the context of the fair in conversations moderated by art professionals.
SOLO Salon talks take place at 5 PM in the SOLO space. All talks are approximately 45 minutes long and are complimentary with admission.

Separated into three thematic programs—Going, Growing, and Gone—the inaugural installment of Art Toronto’s VERGE Video program presents a dynamic selection of contemporary moving image art. In an effort to bridge the worlds of independent and experimental film, animation, video art, and beyond, VERGE Video offers a unique selection drawn from galleries, distributors, and independent practitioners, both Canadian and international, with several of the eighteen works exhibiting in Toronto for the first time. The three programs will be on display throughout the fair’s duration in the newly designed VERGE section, which highlights new and innovative galleries. VERGE video is curated by Jesse Cumming.
