In our July/August issue, we review “How Green Was My Valley,” a group exhibition featuring 15 Palestinian artists, which took place at New York’s Whitebox Art Center this April. AAP Lebanon desk editor Nadia al-Issa looks at the various artworks that embody the backbreaking labor, bittersweet sacrifice and precious pleasures entailed in the Palestinian people’s love for their homeland.
