Armory Show Preview: Lean, Mean, and Looking Fabulous at 100

For its 15th edition, which runs March 7 through 10 at Piers 92 and 94 on the Hudson River, the Armory Show is slimming down. “With so much to choose from in New York, a focused presentation can make a bigger splash,” explains executive director Noah Horowitz. That’s why this year’s fair features 210 exhibitors — the fewest in five years — and many solo and dual-artist booths. “We had to go back to galleries to tell them, ‘You need to bring half as many artists,’ ” Horowitz recalls.
