REACH is Still Reaching...

I can't believe Christopher Janney's interactive sound installation in the Herald Square NRQ subway platform, "REACH" is still alive and kicking! I remember "discovering" it in 2000 when I would commute  from Philadelphia for my internship at PAPER Magazine. I reached up because I was confused as to what it was, and activated the jungle sounds. I remember thinking New York must be the most magical place in the world. And seeing that it is still there and still working 12 years later, I know that I was right.
