I visited George Condo's studio last night—he was so articulate and warm as he explained his process and answered questions. In his new works, he draws and paints beautiful figures on the canvas. He uses acrylic paint and pastel crayons because it dries faster than oil. The colors are truly glorious—lavender, purples, periwinkle blues—they look like Easter egg colors... The painting at right is from 2011, and as Condo continues to evolve, I think his work is getting better and better!
