While the U.K. struggles to hash out a Brexit deal, one of its most iconic contemporary artworks will remain in Europe. The Museum Frieder Burda (MFB) in the German city of Baden-Baden, which was founded by publishing magnate Frieder Burda, announced it will be displaying Love is in the Bin (2018), the Banksy painting formerly known as Girl With Balloon (2006) before it was shredded at auction last year.

The Banksy exhibition in Baden-Baden will run from February 5th through March 3rd and will feature a symposium that promises, according to a museum description, to ask: “Can the strategies of the art market be torpedoed while adding to (sic) fuel to its fire?”

The work’s owner, an anonymous European woman, was reportedly confronted with many offers to display the iconic work, but ultimately was won over by MFB’s pitch because it’s in keeping Banksy’s ethos of making the work accessible.

“We’re expecting a lot of interest, especially from young people and Banksy fans,” Henning Schaper, the MFB’s director, told The Art Newspaper.
