On March 13th, Free Arts NYC will hold its annual art auction on Artsy to support art education and youth mentorship in underserved communities. Now in its 27th year, the event features artwork from Elizabeth Glaessner, Katherine Bradford, and Christopher Wool, whose Untitled (2009) is the auction’s high-value lot, with bidding starting at $400,000.
Each year, the auction aids over 1,500 young individuals aged 5 to 23 in partnership with over 30 schools, community centers, and transitional housing centers. A silent auction is being held on Artsy in tandem with the live event, with lots beginning to close on March 14th at 12 p.m. EST.
