HOFA Gallery now represents AI artist Sougwen Chung.
HOFA Gallery (House Of Fine Art) has announced representation of Chinese Canadian artist Sougwen Chung, and today opens a solo exhibition of the artist at its gallery in Mayfair.
The artist, who is also artistic director of London-based research studio Scilicet, is best-known for their “visionary and speculative” practice that explores the collaborative potential of AI and humans. They were included in the first edition of the TIME100 AI list of 100 visionary thinkers who are redefining the global impact of AI, and have showcased works at the New Museum in New York and the Museum of
Contemporary Art in Geneva.
The artist’s show at HOFA Gallery, “Relational Gestures,” features paintings, artifacts, digital videos, AR sculptures, and immersive media installations, demonstrating of their hybrid, multi-media practice.
“Through the work I am thinking deeply about how the human hand, how human creative capabilities, might evolve as a direct result of the possibilities afforded by embodied AI,” Chung said. The show runs through October 25th.
