Artsy seeks an art world professional to manage relationships with museums, artists’ estates and foundations, biennials and triennials, and other nonprofit institutions worldwide, including SFMOMA, New Museum, Serpentine Gallery, Fondation Beyeler, Rauschenberg Foundation, and more. At the very core of Artsy’s mission to make all of the world’s art accessible to anyone with an Internet connection, your role will be to compellingly communicate Artsy’s services and long-term vision to the museum and nonprofit community.
Reporting to the Director of Auction and Institutional Partnerships and working with colleagues across the company, such as team members on the Social Media, Email Marketing, Events and Auctions teams, you will strategize and implement special projects and opportunities to engage target partners from your portfolio of 700+ international arts institutions. This is a challenging role that requires the navigation of a fast-paced art world, the oversight of a large database and a sizeable volume of digital content, and the creativity to shape mission-centric programs aligned with company goals.
The ideal candidate holds a BA in Art History and has 4+ years experience working in art museums and institutions, ideally in a role accustomed to liaising with external constituencies. You are self motivated, can identify priorities, are capable of a high-degree of autonomous work, and can cultivate a wide network of museum and art world contacts. You are also detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative and personable, with superb oral and written communication skills. You must be comfortable working with a large suite of digital tools and systems to manage partner relationships, tracking analytics, and training partners on the use of Artsy’s products.
