Performance Marketing Intern, Organic Growth
At Artsy, we envision a world where art is as popular as music. We're always looking for talented, hardworking individuals who want to help turn that vision into a reality.
As a Performance Marketing Intern, you'll work directly with our Marketing & Product teams to develop and implement growth and performance marketing strategies to help Artsy achieve its vision.
The Performance Marketing Internship plays an essential role in a core piece of our organic growth strategy. This work is critical to enabling us to reach our mission by achieving our organic growth objectives. In addition to learning and executing organic growth strategies, you will gain an intimate understanding of marketing at a top technology company by collaborating with our email marketing, data automation, paid advertising, communications, social media, and brand partnerships teams. Finally, you will take on important projects both within and outside of organic growth—past projects include building out marketing reporting dashboards and visualizations to make important performance metrics easily accessible, creating a plugin to optimize the organic reach of our editorial content, and completing a content gap analysis to identify content opportunities.
Throughout the internship you will develop both qualitative and technical marketing skills, including strategic research, data analysis and processing, as well as some ability to read and write code. While a background in coding or design is not required, an interest in (or experience with) scripting languages (like Python) is helpful, as well as familiarity with Google Sheets and Excel formulas. The ideal candidate also has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is intelligent and curious, is a hustler, and exhibits humility. You have a string of accomplishments, have worked on projects from inception to completion, and are excited to learn from, and contribute to, a top technology company. Lastly, we are looking for team members who thrive when given lots of responsibility and freedom to achieve their goals in a very fast-paced startup environment.
The Performance Marketing Internship is based at our HQ in downtown Manhattan and is a full-time, paid position. The internship starts immediately and is approximately 6 months in length.

WORKING AT ARTSY
In addition to our vision of a world where art is as popular as music, Artsy has five core values that will inform your experience at Artsy.
Art x Science: We believe in uniting empathy with logic, emotion with data, and intuition with research in everything we do. Whether in business strategy or design, culture or code, we seek the magic that happens when the often separate worlds of art and science come together.
People are Paramount: We spend extraordinary energy finding the best person for a job—and once found, we give them the trust and autonomy to be CEO of their role. We avoid pointless bureaucracy and prefer to empower people with information rather than limit them with process.
Quality Worthy of Art: We aim to create an experience worthy of all the world’s art and so hold ourselves to the highest standards in all our work. We believe that the best long term quality comes from rapid shipping, iterating, and learning as we go.
Positive Energy: We know positivity and optimism benefit our work, and we harness positive energy as a vehicle towards greater awareness, growth, and collaboration. We believe in cultivating a positive relationship to art as opposed to one based on exclusivity or scarcity.
Openness: We believe in being open with each other and the world—whether in open-sourcing our code, sharing feedback, or building a diverse and inclusive work culture. We believe in bringing our full selves to work and manifesting an open world where everyone has access to art.
Artsy is an equal opportunity employer. We value a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, marital status, disability, and veteran status.
