Deborah Wasserman believes in the ADL's Centennial theme Imagine a World Without Hate: "...it's possible to have a world without hate, as hate is human expression of fear, ignorance and selfishness. It is interesting to think about the range of emotions that a human being is capable of feeling and its fascinating to think that hate and love are not so far apart...they even activate similar parts of the brain...This discovery fills me with hope as I know that humans are capable of shifting their emotions and transcending to reach inner love, peace and compassion, acceptance and forgiveness.
