Manhattan-based artist Paul Zepeda uses traditional materials such as oil paint, gold, silver & copper leaf, and mineral based oxidants to create paintings and sculpture that are inspired by ancient art and culture. These classic materials and traditional techniques bring a sense of memory, contemplation and connection with humanity’s roots to a contemporary audience.  A self-taught artist, he has spent the last 15 years creating and exhibiting nationally and internationally. His work can be found in collections across the globe.  Considering philanthropy a personal mission, Paul Zepeda is looking forward to participating in ADL's Art Works. Mr. Zepeda believes his art work can play a role in eliminating hate and enhancing tolerance: "My work represents the free-flowing and unrestrained love that is the natural order of the universe. Art is a medium through which dreams and desires may be expressed and shared with others, allowing for a message to be spread. If that message is love, the artwork may have a profound influence on its viewers for thousands of years or more."
