The Artful Recluse: Painting, Poetry, and Politics in Seventeenth-Century China is now open at Asia Society Museum through June 2. This is the first exhibition to explore the concept of reclusion in Chinese painting and calligraphy within the broader context of political and social changes during an era of unrivaled historical change and political drama. Organized by the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
