Brooklyn Museum's 4th Annual “Brooklyn Artists Ball” slated for April 16th

Brooklyn Artists Ball
Jan 3, 2014 9:32PM

Join us for what has become one of the most engaging and unique ways to celebrate Brooklyn’s artists and support the Brooklyn Museum's education and outreach programs.

We’ll award our highest honor to Brooklyn visionaries and enlightened developers Jane and David Walentas. We’ll also recognize acclaimed artists Jenny HolzerKehinde Wiley, and Ai Weiwei, all of whom have strong ties to our beloved borough

Once again, Brooklyn artists return to take over the Museum. Enjoy cocktails in the Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion and Lobby featuring a new installation created especially for the evening, dine in our Beaux-Arts Court on tables transformed into works of art, and dance the night away at our After-Party, with a DJ and special live performance.

This special event will be certain to sell out, so please book your tables and purchase tickets now.

A new component of the Brooklyn Artists Ball will be a benefit auction, hosted online and onsite exclusively by Artsy. It will offer artworks by this year’s featured Brooklyn artists, with the preview on April 7, 2014, and bidding beginning April 9, 2014, at noon EST. You can place bids at or using the Artsy iPhone app.

Ball guests and the public may register to bid on Artsy now.

Proceeds from the Brooklyn Artists Ball support the Brooklyn Museum’s innovative education programs for students of all backgrounds, our traveling and new special exhibitions that inspire and delight hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, and our role as a vital cultural and civic resource for Brooklyn and all of New York City!
