While I'm sad that I haven't been able to attend the Venice Biennale this year, thankfully Elisa Carmichael, a contributor to Complex, co-founder of Carmichael Gallery, and founder of The Art Street Journal put together this recap sharing the seventeen best pieces at this year's event. There are works by Theaster Gates, Richard Mosse, Lara Almarcegui, and many others, in addition to suggestions for concurrent, must-see exhibitions.

As Elisa says, "Venice is a mixed bag this year—but maybe it always is. There is some very good and some inexcusably bad, and far too much to see and do, but that, of course, is the fun of it."
