5 Artists who Honor Indian Independence Day

In celebration of India officially gaining independence from English rule 66 years ago today, we’ve chosen to highlight five of our favorite artists who created pieces that have helped usher in a new age of Indian identity -- in addition to creating lasting and important contributions to the rest of the art world. Krishnaji Howlaji AraZainul Abedin, Meera Mukherjee, M.F. Husain, and F.N. Souza all offer a unique take on the creative process through their varied works.
