Legendary Indian minimalist artist Zarina Hashmi's travelling retrospective, "Paper Like Skin," organized by the Hammer Museum, in Los Angeles, has arrived at the Art Institute of Chicago, where it will reside through Sept. 22. The show got fantastic reviews when it was at New York's Solomon R. Guggenheim museum, prompting The New York Times to note that the exhibit reminds us that "paper is sculpture, poetry, currency and, above all, a kind of permanent home for a nomadic spirit." (Work shown is not part of the exhibition.)
