Line Vautrin: 'Poetess of Metal’

Once dubbed ‘poetess of metal’ by Vogue, the self-taught artist Line Vautrine did not shy away from new and unusual forms during her lifetime. Her innovative use of metal accompanied by her unwaveringly imaginative aesthetic, have led the New York Times to herald her work as ‘bold, brilliant, barbaric, and intricately crafted’. Our latest online sale, titled Line Vautrin (3 - 11 December), celebrates the legacy of this 20th century French icon.
