Sweet Art: A Trockel and Holler Collaboration
Christie's
Rosemarie Trockel, a German conceptualist artist, teamed up with Carsten Holler, a Belgian artist, to create this contemporary sculpture, titled Wrapped Candy Face. The piece depicts a giant-sized piece of candy, rendered in plastic paper and Styrofoam, acquired from the collection of Donald Young.
Young has been one of the more highly respected and visionary art dealers of the last several decades, committed to working with artists like Trockel and Holler on significant instillations around the world.
