Collecting 1.0: Photography, Artist Proof (A.P.)

An A.P. is a copy of the photograph outside of the edition size, often made as a test and reserved for the artist's own collection or to be shown in gallery and museum shows. A photograph can have multiple A.P.s, and some of them may be available for purchase if the rest of the edition is sold out; this is determined on a work-by-work basis.
