Lawrence Weiner has been awarded this year’s Roswitha Haftmann prize, the most lucrative art prize in Europe at over $150,000. (via Artforum)
The Art Los Angeles Contemporary fair has released the list of exhibitors for its sixth edition, which opens in January 2015. Among the galleries that will show at the fair are Milan’s Brand New Gallery, New York’s Ana Cristea Gallery, Berlin’s Peres Projects and DUVE Berlin, Cologne’s Galerie Christian Lethert, and Rome and New York’s MONITOR. Hans Ulrich Obrist is in talks with curators at La Monnaie de Paris about plans to re-create his 1995 Serpentine Gallery exhibition “Take me (I’m Yours),” in which artists such as Christian Boltanski, Gilbert & George, and Douglas Gordon displayed artworks that gallery visitors could take home with them. Japanese architect Yoshio Taniguchi and English designer Jasper Morrison will receive the second annual Isamu Noguchi Award, given by the Noguchi Museum. (via Architizer)
