International Art Book & Film Festival
Tim Clifford, Chief Researcher of the Robert Motherwell Catalogue Raisonné Project, will be speaking at the International Art Book and Film Festival (FILAF) June 29, 2013 about Robert Motherwell Paintings and Collages, 1941 – 1991: A Catalogue Raisonné. His lecture will highlight many of the works discovered by the Catalogue project and discuss some of the new discoveries about Motherwell’s work including the political dimension of his earliest paintings, the diversity of materials in his early collages, and new information on the development of the Elegy to the Spanish Republic and the Open series.
FILAF is an annual festival in Perpignan, France that aims to assemble the best international art books and films of the past year. It highlights the accomplishments of these films and publications through a weeklong celebration that includes screenings, exhibitions, and lectures.
