Arts Education: Center for Family Life
As part of our commitment to educational programming, we recently partnered with Sunset Park’s Center for Family Life to bring over thirty students, between 2nd and 5th grade, to our facilities at Industry City. Students spent the day traveling throughout the space, engaging in an array of arts activities such as writing collage poems with published poet, Christie Ann Reynolds, and visiting artist Aleya Lehmann Bench’s studio where they drew still-life. Other activities included making vinyl cutouts of their favorite animals with artist Caroline Hill and creating postcards to send to loved ones.
With our expansion to Industry City, the Foundation will continue to create programming that engages local residents of Sunset Park as well as the broader New York City community in arts education and exposure. For more information contact [email protected]
