The annual highlight of the global design calendar returns to Basel, June 17-22, 2014, with an exhibition and events program studded with fresh perspectives on collectible design. More than 50 galleries from across North America, Europe and as far afield as Seoul, Moscow, Western Cape and Shanghai are coming together to present exceptional contemporary, modern and historic works.

New to the roster this year is, Design At Large, an exhibition platform that presents monumental installations that surpass the scope of the gallery booth. At each fair, a new curator will make a selection of works for the program, and will be presented around the center oculus on Design Miami/ Basel’s first floor. The always anticipated Design Commission will be announced in April during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan and unveiled in Design Miami/ Basel’s Event Hall this June.

Design Miami/ Basel’s cultural program for 2014 will also offer a diverse and lively forum for the exploration of ideas from the fields of design, architecture, fashion and technology. A full program of the fair’s cultural offering of Talks, Collaborations, At Large Installations and Satellite Shows will be released in the coming months.
