R 20th Century opened a retrospective on Swedish-American designer and architect Greta Magnusson Grossman this month, celebrating her unique approach to Swedish modernism that she brought from Stockholm to Los Angeles in the late 1930s. Selected works include desks and several lighting objects. She was featured in last year’s groundbreaking exhibition on California modernism at the LACMA, further cementing her in American design history.
