To create the patterns on their Silverware vases, Tim Simpson and Sarah van Gameren of Studio Glithero use seaweed foraged from the English Channel. The designers arrange the specimens on the surface of photosensitive porcelain and then expose it to light, developing the silver chemicals and creating a permanent photogram on the vessels’ surface. The duo have also been commissioned by Perrier-Jouët to create an experiential installation at Design Miami/ 2012.
