In the Studio with Anton Zolotov: Process
“I work with materials on a very basic level, finding a lot of them in the trash and in this building, actually. We have a huge loading dock where people are constantly throwing away all kinds of things, from stretcher bars to pieces of wood to canvas to rags. I’ll usually incorporate a lot of that stuff.”
“Nothing is finished; that’s why I keep a lot of it. I can work on something that’s from 2011, 2012. I think the only time it is finished is if I show it and I feel good about it.”
