In 1989, supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Tatjana Patitz, and Stephanie Seymour paid a visit to fashion photographer Herb Ritts’ Hollywood studio. According to Campbell, Turlington was bound by a Calvin Klein contract and almost had to sit out (see the version sans Turlington, at right). “We said, ‘How can you not be in this picture?’” the supermodel recalls, “And she jumped in, and that was it!” See the complete group, here.
