The Sound of Silence
Artsy Editorial
Step into Hans op de Beeck’s magical, 20-minute world of Staging Silence, abstract black-and-white scenes—comprised of tinkering hands—that recall the artist’s memories of public spaces he has been in. In the work, op de Beeck invites us to witness a lullaby of evocative recollections—set to the musical score of Serge Lacroix—that toy with our sensibilities in a sometimes serious, sometimes ridiculous, way.
On view at Marianne Boesky Gallery, Frieze NY - Booth A29, May 9th – 13th.
