1. Jose Dávila has received funding from the Warhol Foundation, Kunstwerke residency in Berlin, and the National Grant for young artists by the Mexican Arts Council (FONCA).
2. Trained as an architect, Dávila works in a range of mediums including photography, sculpture and installation, often utilizing appropriation to question modern art and architecture. He is influenced by Sol Lewitt and Donald Judd.
3. His work can be found at the Albright Knox Art Gallery, the Cisneros Collection, the JUMEX Collection, and the Reina Sofía in Madrid.
