Three Things You Should Know About Tracey Emin

1. A prominent member of the Young British Artists (YBAs), Tracey Emin is a storyteller and often offers her art as a confessional, engaging the viewer with details from her personal life to express universal truths. Best-known among her early works was her installation My Bed, and recently she is known for her neon text works.

2. In 2007 she represented Britain at the Venice Biennale, was made a Royal Academician, and received Doctorates from the Royal College of Art, the University of Kent, and London Metropolitan University. In January 2013 the Queen appointed her a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

3. Her works can be found in collections across the world including the Brooklyn Museum, the British Museum, the Pompidou, MoMA, the National Portrait Gallery, the Tate, and the Walker.
