For the past five years, Bettina Pousttchi has traveled the world photographing clocks on the façades of public buildings. From London to Los Angeles, Anchorage to Auckland, Pousttchi’s ongoing goal is to capture clocks in 24 time zones—all in sync—to represent a unified, global portrait of time. Although the project is still a work in progress, Pousttchi will share the first half of the work at Buchmann Galerie Berlin, where she’ll bring her interests in time, architecture, and the urban landscape to her home city which—despite frequent international travels—still remains her base.

“Off the Clock” is on view at Buchmann Galerie Berlin from April 26th through June 22nd, 2013. Learn more about Pousttchi here.
