White Cube
Originating in late 1800’s and also known as Rayograph, after Man Ray, these works are constructed by exposing photographic paper to light, without any negative or camera image source. Imprinting traces of objects continues to intrigue contemporary artists and reveal the underlying indexical process of photography itself.
Artists who use this process include: Christian Marclay, Thomas Ruff , Liz Nielsen and Jack Siegel.
