I am always intrigued by an artists ability to alter our perception of a material. That is one of the many reasons I have always salivated over Michele Oka Doner's work. 

In Inverted Large Burning Tara Candelabra, the sculpture breathes while the bronze appears as malleable as the wax from the candles cast within.
