Sentimental education of Elizabeth Murray, Lynda Benglis and Eugene Martin

Flaubert laid out the theme of his Sentimental Education in a letter to Marie-Sophie Leroyer de Chantepie in 1864: “It's a book about love, about passion; but passion as it can exist nowadays, that is to say, inactive."
