"The moon was up in the sky, creating the light," he said of a nighttime image of the Mirtoan Sea, a hushed glow illuminating the darkness. "It was romantic. I was writing poetry."

"He then waits for the precise moment to click the shutter, allowing light to enter for an instant or a few minutes or even several hours."

"I shot this one in a half-second," he said, turning back to the image in question. "It was a short poem."
