My Highlights from Frieze London

When it comes to choosing your favourite works at something like Frieze, it’s got to be by gut reaction. When you are overwhelmed by visual stimulus, whatever sticks in your mind is usually the strongest work. Obviously this year I'm having a sculptural moment.

I wish there had been more women in my rundown! Nonetheless, it’s nice to sneak some old favourites like Stan Van der Beek and Brassai amongst the young guns.

Here's my list:

Paul McCarthy, Violet Bear, Yellow, at Hauser and Wirth

Jack StrangeLump Inside a Lump (swimming it), at Limoncello

Sterling Ruby, Pewter Maxiofacial, at Taka Ishii Gallery

BrassaïGraffiti, at Taka Ishii Gallery

Stan Van der BeekUntitled, at The Box

Klara Kristalova, Crows, at Alison Jacques Gallery

FOS, One Language Traveller Set #5, at Max Wigram Gallery
