Jean Nestares has a rich and diverse career inspired by her artistic father. She expresses her creative talent in several mediums such as painting, writing, illustrating but her first love has always been photography. Movements, people and the vigorous pulse of different cities have always been her inspiration. This interest in movement is a side effect of her professional training in Cinematography at NYU and working for years as a director and producer in a television station.

Her experiments in making still photography appear as if its alive and moving marries cinematographic principles with high quality traditional non manipulated photography. This diversity of backgrounds and experiences gives her work such depth and power. New York but also Paris, Ibiza, Milan, Madrid, Caracas, Mexico City, and Chicago have been her home and research ground. Now Jean looks forward to push her inspiration even further by exploring alternative printing processes and continue showing her work in New York and internationally.

« I have been thinking about new ways to create pauses and silences where breath is held in my artistic world that has always been inspired by movement. My photographic dreams will open new windows into yourselves: through them, you will be able to travel further than the images that first impact you and see what your inner self is capable of seeing, you will feel the essence of the dreame ».
