To kick-off the month-long series of digital events, artist interviews, and online exhibition, DJs Adrian Loving and Christyn “The New York Fox” Basiao will perform a sonic Instagram takeover with deep house, disco instrumentals and international flavors.

Adrian Loving

Adrian Loving is a noted contemporary art and music historian, visual artists and DJ/ entrepreneur. Loving has curated art exhibitions and public programming at various museums and cultural institutions; including the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art (NMAFA), The National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery of Art and Corcoran Gallery of Art, amongst many others. In his most recent book / video project Fade 2 Grey, Loving explores the intersection of androgyny, art and fashion with a focus on musicians from the 1980’s including: David Bowie, Grace Jones and Prince. His work as a DJ/Entrepreneur has also lead him to perform at renowned events and cultural spaces throughout Washington, DC and abroad, including: The White House Correspondents Dinner, The National Gallery of Art and Library of Congress. Christyn “The New York Fox” Basiao is a native New Yorker, a music enthusiast, a vibe creator and curator. A self-taught DJ born and raised in Queens, The NY Fox love for music stemmed from her parents who were also musicians from the Philippines. Connecting with her audience through a music selection that is a blend of the past and present, Fox strives to represent the spirit of NY to the fullest!
