Florence Cadene likes the quiet side of a wild animal. That’s what pushed her to go deeper and to look for the wild animal deep meaning. It is hard to remain indifferent to a baby elephant or a mom. Her artwork is figurative. Florence wants to convey emotion in her paintings. But it is not perfect. Just as to remind us that a painting is never a pure reproduction of reality. She uses different declination of her original artwork: oil and acrylic. She tries to always use the best technique to convey the right emotion. As well as the right visual impression.

Florence Cadene’s paintings are just vehicle of the emotion she wants to convey. By not being completely figurative, Florence gives room to the viewer for personal interpretation. It is also a journey of invitation to the wild animal kingdom. Florence Cadene is also a member of the David Shepherd’s Wildlife Foundation in London, England. She likes to be involved in fighting for wildlife and biodiversity.

Why Florence and the Gallery Karin Carton

I choose to expose Florence Cadene following our exposition with contemporary zebra artist Norma Bessieres. Florence is very different from other artists. She is really figurative, with beautiful colors, and she is a fantastic drawer. She is very close to reality and details. Especially with the different lights, she uses in her paintings. But she also suggests a lot in her paintings. I think artists Norma Bessieres and Florence Cadene are complementary as animal paintings. I also choose Florence to add to the collection of very decorative wildlife painters. Her paintings are very touching. She likes to represent animals in their familial context. Florence Cadene is also more traditional. And she, like Norma Bessieres, has an amazing technique.
