This was specially painted for an Exhibition at the Musee de Gajac and is a very large painting.  Oil paint on Wood, comes with a wooden frame.  It is very heavy.

The colours and the jewels in the frame represent the colours and treasures of the Silk Road and the painting was designed to be the lid of a trunk containing these treasures.

The exhibition was to celebrate the stories from 1001 nights - Scheherazade, and the Ebony Horse was one of those stories.
