On Saturday, September 14th, Mira Godard Gallery is pleased to open an exhibition of new paintings by NATHAN BIRCH.

"Two themes that live and breathe in my work are those of paint and place.

Paint challenges, consumes and congratulates me when I'm working; it educates, encourages and enlightens as the best instructor would and it entices the artist at least as much as the viewer, I think much more. Place, for me, is where I go to seek out hidden treasure and is the treasure all in itself. It's the object of desire that can never be fully described with words. It can completely surround and swallow me whole, all the while setting me free."
