Bill Noonan shaves Hunter S. Thompson's head during his 1970 campaign for sheriff.  Thompson wanted to refer to his opponent, Pitkin County Sheriff Carol Whitmire, as "my long-haired opponent" in debates leading up to the election.  In the background of the photo by Bob Krueger appear an original Aspen Wall Poster #3 and the "Thompson for Sheriff" silkscreen print by Thomas W. Benton.
